Bits and Pieces

 

The Bits & Pieces Chapter meets at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church on New Market Road (Rt. 5) in Varina on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. We enjoy refreshments, show and tell, and a program or demonstration related to our love of quilting. We like to have visitors and invite anyone interested to come visit us. Currently, we have a small “Dear Jane” group that meets outside of the chapter meetings.

Our chapter has an on-going partnership with the Varina Ruritan Club to make fleece blankets and pillow sets for the Meade Welch Fleece Project. All the blanket and pillow sets go to the MCV Massey Cancer Center. We also make NICU quilts that are donated to MCV for infants in the unit there. In addition, Hilliard House is another charity that we sponsor by donating household items and quilts and pillowcases for the residents there.
