The Virginia Memorial Quilt Project has no political
connection whatsoever. It doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree
with the war in Iraq. It doesn’t matter if you are a Republican or a
Democrat. Your religion does not matter. What does matter is that we
are remembering these fallen Virginia heroes who have paid the
ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Before September 11, 2001, some
in the USA had become complacent about patriotism and pride in our
country. September 11th will be remembered as a day that turned
patriotism back on in America. Unfortunately it took this horrible
tragedy to open our eyes and to bring America to attention.

Quilts for Richmond
Quilts for Richmond is an
ongoing project at Quilting Adventures,
enabling local quilters and other members of
the community to have the opportunity to
participate in the making of quilts to be
donated to local shelters and organizations
to serve people in our community who are in
need.
There will be a job for
everyone, including children. Fabric
donations are not needed at this time, but
volunteers who can help prepare squares for
tops or sew backings together are encouraged
to contact the shop.
